Who we are

This site is operated by Roof Edmonton, a roofing contractor serving Edmonton and the Alberta Capital Region. Contact: quotes@roofedmonton.com or (780) 555-0142.

What we collect

• Information you give us through the inspection form or by phone or email: your name, phone number, email address, property address, a description of the damage, and optionally your insurance company.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically: IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and the site you arrived from.

Why we collect it

To contact you about your enquiry, to schedule and carry out an inspection, to prepare documentation for your insurance claim, and to keep records of work performed. We do not use your information for any unrelated purpose.

Who we share it with

Only where necessary to do the work: with your insurer or adjuster, where you have asked us to support your claim; with suppliers or subcontractors involved in your specific job; and with service providers who host this site or handle our email, under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Records relating to completed work are retained as long as required for warranty, tax and legal purposes.

Your rights under Alberta law

Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) gives you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask for corrections, and to withdraw consent to its use, subject to legal and contractual limits. Write to quotes@roofedmonton.com and we will respond within the timeframe the Act requires. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Yandex Metrica, a web analytics service provided by YANDEX LLC, to understand how visitors use the site. Metrica sets cookies and records how pages are viewed: the pages you open, the site you arrived from, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, time on page, and device, browser, screen and approximate location derived from your IP address. Its session replay feature (Webvisor) reconstructs page views from this data so we can see where the site is hard to use.

What you type into the inspection form is not recorded by session replay: keystroke capture is switched off on every form field. The form itself is sent directly to us, not to Yandex.

This information is processed by Yandex on servers that may be located outside Canada, including in Russia, and may be accessed there under the laws of that country. We use it only in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors. You can read Yandex’s privacy policy and the Metrica terms of use, and you can opt out of Metrica tracking with Yandex’s opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies. Questions about our service providers outside Canada can be sent to the contact address above.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. Please do not send policy documents containing financial account details by email; we will arrange a secure method.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be posted here with a new date.
